Shift Lead – Snack Bar Attendant

JAMBA SHIFT LEAD Location: Jamba & Runway Deli, Norman Y. Mineta San José International Airport (SJC) Pay Rate: $22.95 per hour ***(effective July 1, 2026) ***plus tips  (Must Pass a 90-Day Probationary Period to be included with the tip pool) LEAD THE BEND Jamba is looking for energetic, dependable, and customer-focused Shift Leads to help oversee daily operations at our San José International Airport location. As a Shift Lead, you will help create a positive guest experience while supporting, coaching, and leading team members during each shift. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in delivering great service, and is ready to take the next step in their leadership journey. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead shifts and support daily operations
• Coach, train, and motivate team members
• Ensure exceptional guest service and product quality
• Prepare smoothies, bowls, juices, and food items according to Jamba standards
• Open and close the store following established procedures
• Monitor food safety, sanitation, and operational compliance
• Delegate tasks and maintain productivity during peak travel periods
• Assist with inventory management, product ordering, and receiving deliveries
• Handle cash management responsibilities and ensure accurate register procedures
• Serve as Manager-on-Duty when assigned
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment
• Follow all airport security, safety, and operational requirements

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• Previous food service, restaurant, retail, or hospitality experience
• Leadership or supervisory experience preferred
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to coach and develop team members
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Reliable attendance and punctuality
• Basic math, cash handling, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds

AIRPORT REQUIREMENTS

• Employment is contingent upon successfully obtaining and maintaining an airport security badge.
• Pass an airport background check
• Complete airport badging requirements
• Be eligible to work in secure areas of the airport
• Maintain all required airport credentials throughout employment

SCHEDULING Open availability is preferred, especially during the training period. Schedules may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on operational needs. WHY JOIN US?
